Italian shell cameo from the 1930's or 1940's, gold plated over sterling silver. The carving is very fine and detailed. It is stamped 925 for silver and as well as by the Italian maker's mark. It is showcased by the contrasting green of faceted hessonite garnet, vermeil spacers and clasp.
